LA’s 5 Freeway Shut Down Due to Santa Clarita Wildfire

Swift moving wildfire has shutdown LA’s 5 Freeway in the Santa Clarita area.

According to an ABC News affiliate, a two-alarm fire that broke out in the Santa Clarita, California, region and has shut down both directions of traffic on the 5 Freeway going through metro Los Angeles.

In just one hour, the blaze charred more than 300 acres. Though no evacuations were ordered, power outages have been reported.

The California Highway Patrol said the freeway in this area would be closed until further notice.

It’s the third fire, including one in Ventura County and another near Sylmar since yesterday.
