Aurora, Colo., Police Chief Welcomes Transgender Applicants

In response to President Donald Trump’s transgender military ban, one Colorado police chief wants people to know, transgender applicants need apply.

AURORA, Colo. — A Colorado police chief is reaching out to the transgender community after President Trump said the military wouldn’t allow them to serve anymore. Specifically, transgender applicants are welcome on his force.

Police Chief Nick Metz said in a tweet Thursday that if the U.S. military doesn’t want transgender members serving, they’re welcome to apply for jobs within the department.
