PHILADELPHIA, PA. -- Residents of Philadelphia can report downed tree limbs, request plow service, peruse community requests, subscribe to emergency notifications, and even find property history information on the city’s 3-1-1 mobile app. Launched in 2012, the app even has a Facebook following.
It’s part of the city’s Blueprint for a Connected City, something the City of Brotherly Love would like to share with mayors across the United States. With the blueprint, Philadelphia is “raising the bar for how technology is used to drive innovation and improve quality of life” for its citizens.
